Master Bath Remodel and ExpansionCardinal was contracted to remodel a 1970's federal-style single family master bathroom. The existing bath was choppy and unwelcoming due to a linen closet that blocked the flow of the room.. The space contained a dated shower only and as such the client needed to use the hall bathroom for baths. Looking at the space available, the choice was made to remove the linen closet and take one-third of the space away from an adjoining hall closet. This decision allowed the client to install a larger walk-in shower and a bath tub. The bathroom was demolished and remodeled with a oversized tub, walk-in shower with bench and double vanity. New cabinetry with a beige glaze and Silestone counters were chosen along with porcelain tile on the floor and walls. As part of the demolition, an empty void in the shower was opened thus allowing a small sitting bench and more space in the shower.
Removing the linen closet and part of the hall closet allowed the space to be reconfigured to accommodate a deep tub. Tile between the shower and tub was cleanly integrated to give the client a polished finish.
The double vanity featured Merrilatt glazed cabinets, Kohler sinks, and Silestone Coral Troya counters.
